As summer approaches, the temperatures are rising in SALT Restaurant & Bar in Salthill, with the venue becoming a hot spot for entertainment, cocktails, dining and celebrations.
This weekend, SALT will begin a brand new music line-up, with the fabulous Faith Dealers set to play their debut SALT gig this Friday night. Relatively new to the Galway scene, Faith Dealers bring a mix of soul, funk, blues and everything in between.
On Saturday night, The Chilled Cats will perform live in the Salthill venue, and of course, the regular Sunday Afternoon Jazz Brunch with Michelle Lally will continue once again this weekend.
Since opening its doors last summer, SALT Restaurant & Bar at 163 Upper Salthill has been turning heads and impressing palates with mouth-watering dishes and exciting cocktails. In fact, SALT topped the ratings in Galway recently at the Irish Craft Cocktail Awards, beating off stiff competition from other local and well-established cocktail bars.
When it comes to the food and drinks menus at SALT, one thing that is consistent is change. Head chef Jose Vega is passionate about the importance of seasonality when it comes to his food offerings and next week, he will change the menus once again, with stunning breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar bites menus currently being finalised.
The cocktail list is also getting another revamp this month and will boast such amazing creations as the Jalapeno-Face Margarita, Kentucky Lemonade, SALTed Caramel Martini and the Bad Girl Smoke Bomb.
SALT is also fast becoming a favourite party spot for birthday celebrations, engagement parties and corporate events. The downstairs bar provides an ideal location for private events and indeed the venue as a whole is available for private parties.
