It’s all about change this week at SALT Restaurant & Bar, with a brand new retro-style menu just unveiled and more exciting surprises on the way.
Moving away from formal dining, SALT’s new menu is fun and funky. Think wings and ribs, falafel salad and buttermilk chicken, beef brisket and baked potatoes. The new menu has all of this and so much more!
The Salthill venue still boasts staple dishes like Steak of the Day and a Grilled Chicken Salad but head chef Jose Vega has jazzed it up in the kitchen with some fabulous new offerings like the Crab Donut with Lime and Pomegranate Aioli and Heavy Metal Fries. The latter dish – skinny fries topped with melted smoked cheddar, pickled onion, beef brisket and fresh herbs with garlic mayo on the side – is already proving a firm favourite with customers.
Located at 163 Upper Salthill, SALT opens at 4pm on Wednesdays and at 12noon from Thursday to Sunday, also offering a full children’s menu. Food is served until 10pm, with a full bar operating beyond this. SALT will also be open on Bank Holiday Mondays, serving until 8pm.
With its new relaxed dining choices and a fabulous new cocktail menu on the way, SALT is gearing up for what promises to be a really busy month in Salthill, including the arrival of tens-of-thousands of visitors for the Ed Sheeran gigs. Without a doubt, the gig-goers will be in for a real treat if they stop off at SALT on the way to Pearse Stadium!
When it comes to changes at SALT, the new menu is just the beginning. SALT has also added games throughout the venue…and so, a quiet drink on a Wednesday evening could well turn into a Jenga or Connect Four Tournament! And there’s more…for those with a sweet tooth, the dessert experience is about to take on a whole new lease of life at SALT, with an ice-cream and milkshake corner just days away.
Just when you thought life couldn’t get much better, SALT has gone and upped the ante…it’s like the month that just keeps on giving!
